Tim and Jerry?

Unfrosted, a pretty funny PopTarts romp by Jerry Seinfeld, took me on a winding road I didn’t quite expect…leading back to Seth’s The Practice and Stephen Pressfield’s The War of Art.

Because Jerry Seinfeld was doing lots of interviews around the time the movie came out earlier this month, I hit the trusty “Discover” button in Pocket Casts.

And that’s how I stumbled across an interview with Jerry Seinfeld on Tim Ferriss’s podcast (episode #485) from December 8, 2020.

Listening to how Jerry Seinfeld works his own practice and routines, what he thinks about writing (“writing is hard work”) and creativity, gave me a new perspective on this whole business of delivering creative goods.

My favorite line, about having the gift of creativity: “It’s like being given a horse. You have to learn to ride it. Or it will kill you.”
