The other day I finally got around to doing the post-production on the latest PodTalk episode. I have everything set up—tools yes, but also my definition of “done” and “great enough”—so that it is about a one-sitting amount of work.
WHY on earth do I still struggle to get around to doing that part?? Every single time I finally sit down to do it . . . I thoroughly enjoy it. Reliving the conversation a bit as I edit (I do touch the audio files), writing show notes, preparing the web site posts and forum topic… it’s just fun all the way through. Yes, the part I complain about, and procrastinate about, is still fun all the way through.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Meanwhile, I’ve officially commissioned a musician for the Open + Curious podcast’s reboot. It’ll be a few more weeks before the new-format first episode appears. I’m not rushing.
And I’ve been talking with someone about starting an entirely new, other show… most excitingly (for me anyway) is that it’s not going to be my show… more someone else’s show, with me showing up to be helpful. Really looking forward to seeing how that develops. [Details intentionally omitted lest I jinx it.]
