The achievement society is burning us out, we need more play
We are obsessed with work. It shapes our identities, gives our lives structure, and guides us towards our purpose in life. As Americans, work is who we are. We believe that our achievements and productivity not only define us but also pave the way for success and happiness.

@craigconstantine Thanks for sharing this article. It’s a good reminder to take a break and have some fun on a regular basis. Play has all sorts of rejuvenating benefits. I returned to coaching Little League baseball this year now that my ‘retirement schedule’ permits. Helping 8 and 9 year olds experience the joy of baseball and learn the value of teamwork, reliance and hard work has been a blast. Throwing batting practice, hitting infield & warming up catchers temporarily makes me think I’m a teenager again.
