I spend way way too much time tapping at this computer and fiddling with audio…
Having a physical practice is essential to the creative life.
Not just because it gets you up and out of a chair. Not just because it’s good to stay in shape. But because when the body is in motion, the mind can really get to work.
~ Ryan Holiday
The challenge I face is that to be more active, I would need to drop one or more entire projects… I’m not ready to do that, so I’m daily torn balancing my mental and physical health.
To be more active …
To have a cleaner home …
To be a better financial steward …
To be a better friend …
To be more productive …
To be more creative …
To be a better wife …,
To be more spiritual …
To be better informed on news of the world …
To tame my Ego …
To live a life of service to others …
Etc, etc, etc,
I would need to sacrifice this, let that go, etc. etc. etc.
Otherwise I’m daily torn by conflicting tensions.
I hear you.
NO wisdom here except to say, I am very grateful for that intangible thing that motivates me to keep trying to accomplish, balance, & accept - that hidden pilot light. That reliable spark.
