I’m deeply in love with the visual display of #podcasts
I’d like to make another category for photos we take of us podcasting in the wild. Sure, you can always post a photo in Public or in Supporters. But I think a visual layout, of a collection of our … well
photos of podcasters (I once arranged to meet another podcaster, who lived south of London, when I happened to be in london doing podcast interviews… fellow hopped a train and joined me for a meal!)
photos of crazy, mundane, interesting, whatever places where we’re recording
photos of gear setups or whatever
…and I think this topic I’m proposing should be under Supporters so that we have a smaller “audience” of people who chime in with replies.
@JuleKucera ( hat tip to our newest supporting member — YOU ROCK! ) said this place is already feeling like a coffee shop hangout spot. I’m wondering if a place to share our photos would be an appreciated addition?
@craigconstantine, eons ago (2008) I was in Seth Godin’s Triiibes online community. One of the most popular posts I ever did was called “Where do you sit?”. I put a photo of my desk and lots of other people did the same. It was fun to see the different places we worked. The only photo that I thought missed the point (and emphasized privilege) was the one where someone posted in front of their grand home, with their Mercedes.
I think this is one of those see what people have to say. I’d be curious to see everyone’s podding location, but not if it means more work for you and the value isn’t there.
I see this as another great way to connect with “the others”. So far, I’m not podcasting anywhere outside my home, but I like the idea of seeing where others are “podding” as @JuleKucera put it. I dunno, I just say “why not?”
When I was traveling more and recording in various places, I usually used a picture of me and my guest/guests wherever we recorded. But as I think back, I do have quite a few of those and location shots. Plus equipment shots. Should be fun!
